Does anyone know a UK supplier of marine MF/HF aerials? There are many VHF aerial suppliers, but I need a HF/MF (ie SSB) antenna.

Thanks

Joe

these are amateur (ie Ham) band suppliers - some are not suitable for the marine environment

While I would have thought there would be plenty of UK marine antenna sellers, try looking at http://www.shakespeare-marine.com - while you may have to order through the USA office I understand that they have recently opened a distribution warehouse un the UK. On the internet site look for export sales and email them asking for sourcing advice.

The only occasion I have had reason to contact them (to do with a vhf radio problem, not antenna) I got an instant and comprehensive response.

Call Communication Aerials, better known as VTronix 01373 822835. I'm fairly sure they will not sell to you direct, but they will have advice as to what you need and perhaps suggest some options on where to go to buy.

I took the number off a box on my stock shelves so I hope its still valid.
