Marine Goodies Due for Sharp Increases in Cost

Hi Twister, yes I've tried both. Breakers want £125 for a mirror, wrong colour, nothing suitable on ebay, insurance excess £150 so it's a claim I think after Chrimbo.

I can't imagine what Rybrook would say to that sort of offer! Nice thought though. Might come to that if things get as bad as the pundits forecast.......

Dream on!! The problem in the UK is simply that the customer price is set by the distributor/reseller who have all the 'power', and not the manufacturer. Supermarkets are a classic case. So until we can find a way of reducing the need or influence of these middle men we will continue to pay more than boat owners in the US, or elswhere
