Marine Engineer in Oban area

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a marine engineer near to (or willing to travel to) Oban?

I have a VP 2003, which I think, needs the cylinder head gasket replaced. They all seem to be very busy-no surprise- the other option is tackling it myself.

There is a chap on the Isle of Luing (Cullipool?) who is very helpful and Travels to Craobh Haven, I cannot recall his name, but will post again if I remember. The reception at Craobh will have his details (01852 500222).

There's a thread on Bluemoment about this and related things. Check towards the end for fairly recent updates. I am a fan of Rober desadeleer but I think he's cutting back on new work.

Thanks for your help. The engine is being looked at on Friday . Robert has work for the next 5-6 weeks, he suggested two other engineers, the first one could do it.

I used the people at Oban (Kerrera) Marina for a Nanni service and they did a very good job.
