First boat purchase looms closer, hopefully. Little or no navigational kit on board my potential purchases. I am considering installing a cheapo log and echo sounder, and possibly Chartplotter and vhf radio for those occasions I venture through the Barrier and down the estuary (though I might drop the mounted vhf in favour of a handheld).

As a total 'noob', can anyone kindly recommend a decent travelling marine sparky who can come and install these on the Brentford stretch of the Thames? Or is it easier/cheaper to take the boat to a yard? Also, what can I expect to pay in installation costs roughly?

Thanks for your forebearance with my novice questions.
