I am thinking about getting front and side connecting panels (see through) that go from the top of the windscreen to the bimini. In Americas, they call the front one a Visor I think. They zip to the bimini and press stud to the top of the windscreen.

The boat is a Regal and Great Lakes Boat Top Co do the official OEM stuff. Does anyone know of a good UK (preferably North West/Wales) company who make them?

Thanks.

Roger of Mouse sails, Holyhead, made me a really nice full cockpit canopy. He wasn't the cheapest, but he wasn't far off & actually turned up & did a good job. I had just the frames for 2 hoods & he made up the 2 hoods plus a bespoke zip-out infill with roll-up sides.

contact details here/

There is another sailmaker at Port Dinorwic called Stephen, but he didn't want to do what I asked for - silly sod. His quote was cheaper but didn't meet my needs & when I finally got thro to him that I expected him to supply what I was asking for, he quoted himself out of the market.

Useful............

Thanks both. Will investigate and see how much compared to importing OEM from Great lakes.

I would like these to give us cover on those not quite so sunny days (rare in North Wales I know!) and so extend our days out.

We always have a little something to drink on board, but I can't guarantee anyone's favourite malt - sorry!

Hi Jmt,

I know you probably already know this, but I'd be really careful spending your money on the OEM cover. It might fit a treat, but the poppers, studs or however else the canopy is attached might not be in the same places as on yours. Better to let a recommended local company make you a set, then they custom fit it to perfection.......... not the hassel of dealing with a state side company if the OEM doesn't fit.

Boatshed at Port Dinorwic are pretty good and have made covers for quite a few boats in PD.
