My engine (Volvo Penta D-55) has been doing its thing day in day out with no probs.
2 weeks ago I popped in Marine 16 Diesel Bug solution as per spec.
A week later when starting from cold the engine now hunts on start up you know that sluggish kicking over of cylinders unless I pop the throttle up to 1000rpm
She normally idles @ 800rpm sweet as anything.
This happens when she is cold.
After a few minutes she settles down and idles again at 800rpm without a problem.
Once we have been sailing And get the engine going again there is no repeat of this.
Any thoughts? Has the Diesel Bug solution caused a start up problem? As said there’s no sign of this once we are underway or start the engine later in the day.
