Members of our yacht share want to move from our base in Burriana. They seem to want be in a more interesting/lively town.
Others want to be in a good sailing area ( more easy to sail to places) and some want to avoid 'noisy marinas'.
Torrevieja was suggested by one member but the reviews we have seen suggest it is very noisy from night clubs etc ( marina Salidas)
We will value any recommendations from forumites.

It's "Salinas" relating to the salt works just outside the town. Full of Russians these days, with everything that comes along with them.

Cartagena is lovely... easy access to Balearics too
YPC is right in the middle of town but the facs used to be in portacabins so fairly limited, although good for portacabins.
Not tried the RCRC there, but you'd have to pay membership as well I think.
The town is historically significant of course and the last hold out against fascism which would put off some folk on here.

I'd say Denia or maybe Javea. They've got the Balearics in easy range and Cabo de la Nao has nice anchorages.
Calpe is nice as well, but it might be full. Excellent rock, you can't miss it.

Moraira is small, Marina Greenwich is expensive, Villajoyosa always seems to have building works on in the winter, but the town is lovely.
Altea is nice but expensive, and might be full.
El Campello is a club not sure how that works, but you might have to pay membership and buy a lease on a mooring.
San Juan is small.
Alicante is expensive.
Denia, Altea, Villajoyosa and El Campello (and Benidorm) are all on the metro going north out of Alicante, which can be handy.

Santa Pola is excellent for Alicante airport (which is actually in Elche) and Miramar there has excellent facilities. Actually Miramar there might be your best choice. Handy for Tabarca which is a nice day sail, outside August at least.

Guardamar is shallow draught.
Torrevieja is full of Russians. Russia might invade it to protect Russian speakers as they do sometimes. The club nautico is nice.
Cabo Roig, Campoamor & Torre de la horadada are all shallow. Although there are works going on to expand Torre.
Marina de las Salinas San Pedro, and Club Nautico Villa San Pedro are a long way from town. There are good restaurants on the marina but they tend to close in winter.
Thomas Maestre is in the middle of the La Manga strip and blocked from the sea by a bridge that only opens every 2 hours from 8-10 (8-8 in winter). Long drive to get there from anywhere. Sometimes the bridge breaks down.
Mar Menor marinas are mostly full and all are shallow, and the Mar Menor is disappointingly grubby still.
Cartagena, as discussed.
Mazarron & Aguilas are a long way from airports, but Mazarron is a nice town.
Garrucha is the port for Mojacar which is fairly well known, but the marina is unfinished and the facs are (or were last couple of times) a horrendous collapsing portacabin thing.
Carboneras, very small, motorboats only. Excellent coal fired power station, chemical plant and abandoned hotel.
San Jose, nice but a long way from anything and quite small.
Almeria, not sure they want anyone from outside Almeria in there. They don't even seem to want visitors.
Aguadulce, very friendly, nice modern town, easy bus ride to Almeria might be a bit loud in summer.
Roquetas, I've not been to, but it has a bit of a slum attached so the town is fairly rough.
Almerimar, nice resort town, popular with live-aboards, weird toilets where there's a centralised bog roll dispenser, so you have to estimate your bog roll needs before performing. A long way from anywhere.
