Marinas in Athens area

Hello! We are searching for a marina somewhere in Athens area. I would like it to be safe for boat, relatively easy to get from Athens airport (either by bus or taxi or ferry) and not expensive. We want to spend around 6 month on hard and 6 month in water.

We have 37 feet sailboat with 2.2 meters draft.

Are there any recommendations?

You would do better posting this on the Liveaboard forum

However, proximity to Athens and "cheap" do not go together for obvious reasons and you might like to consider other parts of Greece such as the Ionian which is substantially cheaper, closer to good cruising and mostly easily accessible from northern Europe.

Then either use the bus, take one of the many internal flights from Athens or hire a car/taxi.

Where you base your boat depends on the type of cruising you do, but Athens is not the best base for local cruising.

There are numerous marinas and small harbours around the coast of Attica (to be precise, Athens doesn't have a coast); east coast (Rafina, Nea Makri, Oropos, Chalkis, all the way up to Volos) and west coast (Zea Marina, Faliro, Voula, Vouliahmeni, all the way down to Sounio). I don't know about prices, but from there, you have excellent access to the islands around Saronicos sea, Peloponisos, Evia, Scopelos etc. I am sure there are people here who are familiar with costs.
