Unless you get free wifi from a phone contract or are lucky enough to get very cheap or free wifi from your marina a proper dongle is usually best, better speeds in the marina and it works along most of the coast and in all marinas. Vodapnone used to have the best deal but their coverage was not as good as 3 along the coast. I certainly found 3 excellent from the Forth to the Solent.

I use them at Falmouth and signed up for 12 months. Had some teething problems to start, but now all sorted. Great speed most of the time.

I did have to call them but their tech support is really friendly and helpful.

Sadly email response has never been so good.

I also use them for work as they have the contract with several hotel chains, but sadly their hotel service doesn't share access with their marina service.

I'm happy with them now.

I found them to be awful at St Katharine Docks in London. I paid for 3 months and probably got a week of service before it totally dropped.
