Marina prices

You may have seen my recent moan agian about prices on the hamble. Well this has given me an idea.
We now have a fuel price forum..how about a marina price forum....what do you all think..???

Prices being what they are, I think that the less said the less depressed we will all be.

Short of voting with our keels, which doesnt seem either praictical or likely, we just gonna have to grin a bear it. A bit like the weather this year or the somewhat dubious accuracy of weather forecasts lately.

If we start to reveal the better value deals that are available, it may have an undesirable effect. It may influence the owners of these basic mooring facilities to re-think their pricing structure - upwards. Mum's the word.

Bloc Marine has all the prices for the French marinas - can't see why Macmillan/Reeds can't take a leaf out of their book and do likewise fro the UK.

I'm sure I've seen either a website or publication which lists UK marinas and theri prices.

There are so much nicer places to keep a boat than the south coast of England and very much cheaper. With reasonable air or ferry fares there are a lot of alternatives, more beauty, less crowding etc. Go for it!!

I called him up but it's up under northam bridge so no good for a mast.

This is very true but it won't help if i want to get a couple of hours in durignt he week or if i just want to take a friend out for a sunday afternoon.
