I am looking for a suitable marina for a year in Southern Turkey within range of either Dalaman or Antalya airports. I visited Gocek recently and although I really liked the Town the D-Marin marina was very expensive (€8000+ for 12m boat) and several others that I visited were either full or unsuitable. Does anyone kn ow of a suitable marina in this area that they can recommend?
Thanks
Steve

I went through the same process a month ago and have taken out a years berthing at Marmaris, many of the others either did not reply or were 12000 Euro plus pa for a 15 m boat with lift and launch and winter storage ashore.

I would second Finike, spent winter 2011-2012 there. Very friendly locals, cheap food with a great outdoor fruit and veg market. Ideal for visiting sites of interest inland. If you like to socialise in pubs though forget it. Live aboards have a club house in the marina where several events are held throughout the winter.

Finike sounds good. What is the sailing area like and is the transfer from Antayla OK?
I have been in touch with Diya Zal and it looks very promising.

Have you looked at Alanya? Less than 45 minutes from Gazipasa Airport, from where you can get cheap flights to istanbul and thence to anywhere.

There's probably 20 or more events each week, but you don't have to take part in all of them. Everything from concerts in Antalya to Turkish lessons, films and local walks. Taxi to Antalya is about £50 or there is a bus. 12m boat about 3000 Euros/year in the water. Great cruising from here to Mamaris, or round the corner to Kemer and Antalya.

Hi sorry to ask but I look up Marmaris it looks like there is two marinas there which one is the best?
One of them looks a long way from town?
I am also looking for a place for next winter
Don't mean to hijack your thread
Cheers
