We MUST all go on that South Coast Cruise we've always
promised ourselves, just to take advantage of the GENEROUS
offer MDL are making. 3 weeks to Torquay Marina (or QAB !!)
and back from the Thames, (I've done it!), with a week at
Torquay and the best view on the South Coast !

Very generous 5% discount for paying 75 days early, infact 105 days if you chose to pay by credit card.
I calculate that as a net saving of £100 to you and they earn interest on the money from Mid January.
Do like the sound of extra days staying in other Marina's though.

Did give this one some thought myself but I think its worth it.
Current interest rate for savings is what 3%? You get that for 3 months (Jan - Mar) so 0.75% on your £3,500 if you choose to pay in April = £26 or pay in Jan and get 5% off your £3,500 = £175.
Seems to me that if you have the money in January, you are better off paying early, rather than leaving it in the bank, or are my maths at fault?

No Darren, your maths is good, but I found you can get 5.8% from Halifax if you leave it for 3 months. Still come out on top if you pay mid-Jan but just had to work it out.
Does the fact they will be earning interest on the money soon mean that the drinks will be free at this years summer party????

Free drinks at the party sounds good but I seem to remember that someone not so far away took the P slightly last time they did that...
At least with BYO, you get to drink what you want rather than what they choose for you.
That Halifax rate sounds good though, might have to investigate that one a little more.
