marina fees on the hamble

Foulkes / Riverside below the M27 bridge offers month by month terms - I pay £314 / month for 32'.

Not sure what Eastland's charge or what terms are offered (above the M27 bridge), but i understand from others the Yardy is a bit of a control freak and gets a bit anal if you do not comply with his rules to the letter.

I can recommend Eastlands. Best pressure washer, quiet and relaxing part of the river, alongside mooring, clean facilities, always yard space when needed, cheapest. Price around £4k for 39ft pa.

Negative is bridge.

how much time do you have either side of h/l/water

In the sportsboat the bridge wasn't a factor.
For the flybridge, we can go if the tide at Bursledon is 3.8m or below. It varies, sometimes you lose 4-5 hours per cycle and others 1-2 or so. We just an and it never bothers us, if we are early coming in we go for fuel or a pub stop first, etc.

We have been at Eastlands for 3 years and dont have any problems at all. Love it there and have no problems with the "Yardy". Interesting mooring challenge when the tide is running and the prevailing wind tends to blow us off but not killed anyone yet.... :-)

We looked at Eastlands, but were put off by the motorway noise, coupled with the tide restrictions. Possibly £2k saving compared with Deacons, but we felt the position is worth the extra.

For us it’s a big benefit to be able to turn up and go out then return at whatever time we are free, life’s to short to sit waiting for tides and missing that time where the weather is fantastic but you can’t get under the bridge, perhaps that will change when we fully retired and have more free time, we have at some point been based at all of the Hamble marinas up to and including Universal, did look at Eastlands once but location didn’t appeal to us as prefer the atmosphere of a busy marina

We love Eastlands and our flybridge boat goes under the bridge pretty much any time except the tops of high tides. As I understand it contracts are quarterly. The Yard is tidy and clean. Great views down the river and a bird spotter's paradise.

And the Yardy is very helpful - great value to us as we are not local

Moored at Eastlands for several years, always found staff very obliging, A big plus as the moorings are linear is that you don't have another boat tight to you which can invade privacy and you get a view.
Good clean facilities yes noise from motorway but you tend to block that out after awhile. nice scenery.
