I am toying with the idea of a boat in the Med probably something like a 30 to 35 footer.

Has anyone actual prices for marinas on these areas.

Cheaper the better.

Ultimately I will end up in Almerimar for a few years but I fancy the idea of being around the south coast of France for a while and then mooching along the coast from there.

I have looked at some price lists on line but I find it impossible to understand some of them...and in any case I understand discounts are negotiated on am adhoc basis...

Best is always to be physically there.. lots of marinas get asked for quotes from “ tyre kickers” if you’re there tied up on the waiting pontoon …you are in a very good position to get deal.Having spent lots of time over the years in Almerimar it’s definitely cheapest ..but not easy to get to out of short Summer when flights are available to Almeria!Otherwise long slog from Malaga.

Yep. That's why I am asking here for real prices.

Almerimar to Malaga is not too bad now that the motorway is completed... been going there for 15 years...several times drove from here via Pembroke/Dover/Calais...

Your biggest problem might be finding one that has any vacancies. We overwintered years ago at Leucate, where there seemed to be lots of room with one basin completely empty. Now it is full. At Port Camargue, a very attractive marina, there is a 10 year waiting list.

We are at Burriana Nova. E2400 for 33feet water and elec and iva inc. free lift out every 6 months
Thanks for that, exactly what I was looking for.

Good old hard practical information.....

We're at Port St.Cyprien - check website for info - they have plenty of room. Last big marina in France next to the Spanish border.
No prices on their website...(there is a link for prices but when you follow it you get no where)

The link on their website downloads 2021 prices.

That part of France is cheaper than just over the border in Spain.
Also French yards are generally cheaper and more reliable.

In France, almost all marinas have long waiting lists.

By far the best way (this applies to marinas to the east of Port Camargue - no idea about west from there) to jump to the queue is to turn up with the boat and ask how long you can stay. Initially may be a month. Then ask to extend to the rest of the season, then stay for winter, and pay for a haul out etc.
Then you will end up on a yearly contract.

In almost all places you will be able to stay indefinitely on a monthly visitors contract (but don't tell this is what you want to do up front). The difference is of course price.
