marina/boatyard recommendations Southampton area.

I'm working on a plan to bring a 48' motor yacht round to the Solent area as a semi-liveaboard whilst cleaning and fettling and trying to sell. I'd like to take her to Quay Lane in Gosport where I keep my boat, but she needs to stay afloat if I'm going to be living on board.
So I wonder if people know of suitable cheap-or at least affordable-places they can tell me about? I'm thinking maybe up the Itchen? I don't care if it's industrial or a working yard or what the view from my window will be.
Bottom line is cost.
Also a swinging mooring is out as l need to commute every day and don't want to start/finish with a dinghy ride.
Here's a link in case anyone is interested :-)

I can't help on mooring location but you said "trying to sell". Do you mean fettling then trying to sell that 48 footer? My $0.02 worth is that she will never sell, so just don't buy it in the first place. Even if you bought it for just £1, you would spend 3x to add 1x of re-sale value. Some things really do need to be scrapped.

Sorry, are you saying I should just scrap the boat?

Ref Foulkes Boatyard. I'm afraid though that the yard owners idea of customer service is pretty non existant.
Barge pole and don't touch springs to mind.
You obviously do not berth here ! OK Anthony has a certain manner, but your post is completely unfair on this excellent yard.

I'd try Eastlands..last marina on the Hamble and yes you will get under the bridge at low tide!

Deep water and good road links and about £10.25 per meter per month..that's about what i pay anyway.

Nice and quiet and clean marina with good secure parking.

I pay about £1100 every three months for a 36 ft boat...maths never was my strong point and i like to mix up ft and meters it would seem!

in the Hamble that's cheap i think

I was in Kemps before Quayside.
Quayside is a bit cheaper and they have shore power. Kemps have no shore power except for a few berths for live aboards.
I think there is some negotiation to be had at kemps if you pay for more than a year up front.

my engineer steered me away from Eastlands. Main one was the serious level of galvonic corrosion he was seeing there on the boats he worked on.
