do you have one how much is membership and what do you get from it ,we pay £10 per year ,5% off chandlers start of season disco ,end of season ball a joint voice with marina owners and organised cruises etc

...also a few prearranged cruises through the year. I believe there are discounts on mid-season liftouts. I'm guessing I'm a member of the association you're considering (CMBHA?)... They also tackle the marinas on things like slow Wifi, and all sorts of topics of interest to berth holders.

Also looks like you can now get 10% off food in the Mulberry.

oh my god I hope Kawasaki aint reading this ,he will either turn up and expect free beer or while we are there he will be raiding our fun box ,maybe ask the marina to tighten security

lol, I can see that now I've re-read your post. Sorry if I've thrown it off topic (in my defense I wrote the response, then realized you were based in Conwy hence guessing it was CMBHA, and modified it without reconsidering your point)

We're up in Kip for the boatshow this weekend :)

It would be good to know what others get from their respective associations though.
 
I think my local one must be full - I tried to join this time last year, completed the form etc... I admit that I haven't chased it up, but I'll be happy to join in as and when a membership space becomes available :)

I tried to Join. They gave me a round black ball thing. I lobbed it in the Marina and it damaged the Tidal Gate thinghy. That's why all you lot were stranded and couldn't go anywhere a few months ago. Twernt my fault really!

You sure that was because of the black ball or did one of your students use it for a bit of pontoon bashing? Belated Happy Birthday wishes too :encouragement:

Thanks Bruce, Oh! checked your lines yesterday. No 'bashing' involved it was a kinda 'eco trip'' . Supposed to be delivering a boat into Conwy today but the Owner didn't fancy the promised gusts of 32 kts for some reason? Its only puffing at about 20 now, bloody forecasts!!
 
He wont have many days in a season then. We will be on the boat this weekend. If you are about give us a shout.
