Still cant find out if there is a marina in Lyon. I have references to one opening 'soon' dating back to 2011 but nothing definate.
Water levels are high now and many of the quayside moorings are under water, as are some of the disused locks so it would be nice to know for certain that there is a good secure bolt hole.
We are at macon and plan to leave for Lyon tomorrow.
Anyone any information please? From what I hear to date the 'marina' ( or halte Nautique) will be in the basin between km 1 and 2. I understand that there is a low bridge which will be opened on demand?
Thanks guys

On the edge of Lyon, covering more than 15,000 m², Albigny marina offers a unique space entirely devoted to water sports. For your comfort, toilets and water fountains are also available on site.
So says the Lyon Tourism Office.

As you have access to t'internet, why are you not Googling Syndicat d'Iniatiative de Lyon for a telephone number and asking them? You can even see it on Google Maps.

Yes there is a marina at Lyon - coming down the Saone go almost through the city and you find it on the East side just before the confluence with the Rhone. There is indeed a low bridge across the entrance that the Capitain du Port has to open for you - should be available on VHF or cellphone. It's comfortable and not too far from facilities. The tram stops close by to get into the centre, though buying tickets is not exactly intuitive!
