Marina Advice - Western Med Coast of France - Golfe du Lion

Hello.
I'm about to deliver my HR34 from Barcelona to Villefranche. I have one crew member along for the ride. I know we could do it as one big 300nm passage, but I think it would be nice (and more relaxing) to port-hop along the Golfe du Lion coast to Marseille. I was hoping to hear from forum members who have made this journey, or who have some knowledge of this coastline, to ask for marina (and possibly day trip) recommendations. Or indeed, things to watch out for. I'm reading the Med France and Corsica Pilot, now, but just thought I might get some interesting perspectives from ybw forum members. Many thanks.

I suggest you consider Port Vendres, Gruissan, Sete, Port Guardian (Les Saintes Marie de la Mer) and Marseilles Port du Frioul. We will be doing the same cruise Sep-Oct in our Falcon 34. Good sailing Dan
