Anybody know anything about these? They seem to be an International Folkboat but with added headroom. Does this affect/spoil sailing performance? Can't find Marieholms in YM's A-Z.

The Marieholm 26 is a very elegant little yacht. Danish built, they seem to sail in their home waters in any weather. In the Netherlands, there are quite a number around. There is a Dutch Marieholm owners association of which you can find the web site here. The site has an English version. I bet you can find any info needed there.

happy sailing

The boat was built in Sweden, not Denmark, and she was designed by Tord Sundén as a uppgraded IF with some more interior volume, which in its turn was a GRP version of the Folkbåt.
Marieholm 26 has similar performance as the IF and has a good reputation in Sweden beeing tough and well built.
If you can read some Swedish you can get some information here:

Hi,
My father owned one for 12 years. The M26 are wonderful boats! Reliable, well built, fast (over 6.5 knots not an exception), stable (but heeling a fair bit) and will weather anything. We travelled around the Northsea in winds up to force 8 without any problems ever. No Osmosis problems in the mentioned 12 years, mast step support might be something worth taking a closer look at.
Bit low on interior room, but if it's sailing performance you are after you cannot go amiss!

I agree with Jzaat. I had a IF boat (identical hull, but the 26 has built up topsides to increase inside volume) for 10 years and it was superb. Fast in heavy and light airs, wide side decks and minimum maintenance. Fractional modern rig so only 2 headsails needed (forget r/r!), tacks like a dinghy and very well constructed.
Unless volume is a priority...find a good one and you will not be sorry.
