Three cheers for Ross of C-Way Transport and Mersea Marine. There are still people about who care.

He left at 5am this morning to bring the Marie Celeste back to Mersea and it is now back in the quarters.

I have spoken to people who have been in touch with Jerry and he is being well looked after while being assessed.

Aye to that. C Way Transport. Mersea Marine . Noted and noted well.
That's one tough boat too! Interiors can be redone, could be therapeutic too I believe.
Great news then
Thx for detailed posting

Who said he was mental going across the Atlantic? That thing looks like a TANK. Hope all ends as well for him.

Anyone who feels able to help Gerry in some way should contact Ross Wey on 0777 6487889

I've spoken with Ross Wey, and Gerry is still in care, but is expecting to be released a lot healthier and happier in a week or so.

Ross is a very very kind man,ánd says that his address at CWey Transport

Ross Perkins
C-Wey Boat Transportation
Britannia,
Victory Dock,
Coast Road,
West Mersea,
Essex
C05 8LT

is open to receive helpful contributions for Gerry when he returns to his boat.

I did suggest a Paypal transaction but that would lead to unnecessary admin and accounting to separate donations from his business.

Over to you......

Strange to say, I was happy to include folding. If Ross Wey/Perkins can pick up a steel boat for free from a couple of hundred miles away and bring it back "home", I'd like to think that any envelopes which arrive at his office will be passed on to the local community looking after the unfortunate owner.

Perhaps some local people can find out what is happening ? The paper has some details but they are scant. I can't do anything as it is out of my country.

So, the boat is back, Jerry soon to be released.
I'd like to say how delicious this dose of humble pie tastes.
I'm happy to admit the cynic in me got it completely wrong.
