I could not find the video, but know that Maretron make very good equipment. I use their NMEA200 planning software, but the mainstream chandlers just don't seem to carry their equipment. JG Technologies have their ultrasonic wind transducers.
Actually now i am obsessing about instrument calibration i understand his comments about native nmea2000 compatibility. You can install the sensors on the network. Plug a pc in with their weather station software and calibrate the sensors. None of this micky mouse "our sensor only works with our display" sort of nonsense from the other manufacturers!
The only really unique Maretron device is the Ultrasonic Wind mast head unit. (I want one!) All the rest is just standard NMEA2000 wiring, which comes with either micro or mini connectors. My own system uses NMEA2000 cabling and connectors from a variety of suppliers including Lowrance and Garmin as well as B&G. The GPS is Garmin, the Log/depth is Airmar, most instruments are B&G. Like me Delos has used an Actisense NMEA0183 to NMEA2000 gateway. I am not convinced that the Maretron instrument displays are as good as B&G Tritons, and their screens are certainly smaller.
