Marcon claymore 30

Many many thanks. Helps navigate the forum. Hopefully you found what you were looking for instead. I just happened to come across this one, and seems there had been very little interest. I put in what I believed to be a very low offer which was accepted! Visited once in a 10 min rush!! What have I done 😱
You will probably discover pretty quickly why it has been for sale for so long and the seller was so keen to take any offer. It is not necessarily because the boat is a load of rubbish, but guess that he has spent as much on mooring charges as you paid for the boat!

Seriously, good advice from Supertramp. Recognise that to get it up to the standard the boat deserves will cost far more in money and time than you can ever imagine. Resist the temptation to take it all apart. Concentrate on what is necessary to get it mobile and usable again. Then if you decide it is all too much it will be much easier to find another owner if the boat actually works, can move under its own power and even give punters a sail in it.

Tranona, again thanks. Good wise words from all you guys. I have booked to take her out of the water, transport to a work site miles away from the ocean - so the paying already starts - I’ll then get her into good working order where I can investigate all sides, and hopefully get her sailing once more in a few months. To get her to a safe, reasonable sailing condition, and looking clean is all I intend to do for now.
