maptech software

I have installed Maptech nav software on my laptop which uses Rasta charts.I have noticed that the raymarine software that uses c-map charts on cd will also use rasta charts.Will the Maptech software run with c-map cds aswell ?
Is there anybody out there who uses Maptech and the c-map cds?

Maptech only uses BSB charts which are raster - essentially scanned images of the paper charts. CMap NT charts are vector which are digitised versions of the paper charts - ie: a human goes in with a digitiser and "redraws" the chart and its features.

Nothing wrong with the BSB charts - there clear, familiar looking and relatively cheap compared to the NT ones. I wouldn't be too envious of the Raymarine s/w - its nowhere near as comprehensive as the maptech navigator.
