Manual for older Mariner 3.5 outboard

Hi Guys, can I get a copy of the service manual please.
I have a bit of a strange issue in that the engine starts fine, but as soon as I take the choke off it splitters and dies, if I try to rev it it dies. I have cleaned the carb twice and replaced the gasket behind the carb in case it was an air leak.
It a very low use engine that sat in a shed of 15 years.
Any ideas?
I reckon it needs a more thorough carb clean.

+1 That was what was wrong when mine exhibited those symptoms. Ensure you clear those very tiny orifices leading into the main air path.
Cheers
Bob
P.S. Can a recent recipient supply a copy of the 'service manual' (presuming you mean my 'dog's dinner' transcription) as I have done a major house and boat declutter and my file has been archived (somewhere).

Hi, I still have the 10 hour engine and the workshop manual. The first is easy to find in the garage but the manual would need to be hunted down after all these years. In any case, it is a rather bulky paper document (i.e. not soft copy). My attempts to make a soft copy produced a 16M incomplete word document (and growing). If you can't get a hard copy from BHG or elsewhere, I may be able to do something (in slow time) - 16M is too big for my 'out' email .
I have attached soft copies of the operator and maintenance info in sofar as I have them .
[All my spares have gone to another chap who is struggling to get his running reliably]
Cheers

Good evening,

Im in the process of getting my outboard running again. I appreciate that this is a fairly old thread but is there anybody who received a copy of the workshop manual who could forward me a copy please? I appreciate that this is a bit of a long shot,
Max

Hi, I just signed up after I also searched hi and low for a manual for a 1975 3.5hp water cooled 2 stroke. I'm in Australia and no luck here. I see there have been a few manuals moved around the site and if any of you still have a pdf I'd be very grateful.
Cheers

Don,
All my contributions concerned only the Yamaha/Mariner air cooled 2-stroke of that vintage so I am unable to help
Cheers

Mariner 3.5 aircooled pull start assembly help needed. Hi my friend gave me a pullstart with everything but not assembled. I'm baffled by a spring that should go..... Somewhere is there a diagram out there that I can look at. Any help will be much appreciated.
