So impressed with Noelex77's thread in Cruisers' Forum
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1604194#post1604194,
that I got in touch. Whilst they have a distributor in the Netherlands, he was out of stock of the anchor size I wanted.
Within 24 hours of my first enquiry the item was on its way to Greece. And not at the extraordinary prices demanded by other new-age anchors - £230 for the replacement for my 25kg CQR, worn out after 15 years of Med anchoring.
Now of course I'll have to pay Greek taxes and EU tariffs on top of that which will amount to about another £55.
No connection except as a customer and, of course, proof of pudding is in the eating - so I'll give a review of its performance in about 12-months time.
Mantus was the Etruscan god of the underworld - unlike Hades/Pluto who was a miserable so & so, he was more like a jolly mine host, making sure his clients had a good time (or so he appears in the Etruscan tomb paintings I've seen).
