Further to the current thread here re propeller repairs..... do you think they might be able to repair this propeller?
It has 4 skewed blades (which are now VERY skewed), and is on a dive boat here that came ashore in Carlisle Bay recently.
It looks like some barstewards tried to steal the boat from her mooring, probably in an effort to get 'back home' to St Vincent, and after casting off the mooring they must have opened up the throttle immediately - not realising that the anchor had been slung overboard for extra safety...... I think they must have then run the boat up on the beach just after the propeller picked up the anchor rope, as it looks to me as if the blades were rotating while in the sand (as they are all so uniformly bent)..... the boat then filled up with sand and water.
Had a survey job on it today - pulled the oil dip stick on the 400 hp Cummins (new 2 years ago) and water gushed out..... and there are large cracks and holes in the hull on both sides...... time to look for a new boat I think.
