Just looking out of the window at home at the rain and wind, seems its been like that for weeks. Except yesterday!

Popped down to the boat with no wind or rain but a bit cold. Went through the lock and into Chi harbour, lovely and empty apart from one boat.

There were a few sailing dingies from Itchenor out but that's it.

I wonder when the next trip out will be. :-)

We needed to sea trail our overhauled raw water pump, top off the tanks with the red stuff and move to a tempory berth to allow the dredging to start on Monday so we popped out this morning.

We caught it just right, the wind hadn't picked up and rain held off, still a little bit of tide running but nothing to speak of so easy on and off the pontoon and fuel berth.

We had a super blast up and down Southampton Water and helped the antifoul do its thing!

Only a few brave souls out but we feel better for having gone out and having got some fresh air.

Happy winter boating everyone.

Mike

That other boat wasn't me was it? went over to Bembridge for a beer, locked back into Chichester at about 3pm, great day.

well - you missed us leaving chi marina and harbour yesterday ... was an excellent run down the length of the solent ..

Wasn't so much fun today though ...

I saw one mb between the marina and Itchenor when I was coming back - love this time of year, nice flat days and hardly a boat on the water.

Yes, I was cutting a few corners as had to be home by 4.

You mean you didn't notice the speakers? Must have been another rib ;)

It’s great to hear people still getting out on the water. I’m off work all week and am hoping to get out in Dartmourth, Start Bay or even Torbay – anyone around? Bright sunshine and clear blue sky at the mo but forecast not looking too good – not that they often get it right.

went down to check on my boat yesterday at Hamble Point and whilst having a sandwich did have a look out across Southampton water and it looked pretty wild and cold out, but a Sealine, think it was a 34 was making its way back into the river and there were a few brave raggies out and a couple of ribs... TBH I didn't wish I was out with them...

My boat goes well enough for me right now! Speakers are actually wakeboard boat speakers and sound terrible, I am tempted to put some better ones up there - then you'll notice them!!
