Had a nice relaxing if a little chilly 2 days on the Colne. Couldn't go far as wasn't much wind but was good too be out boating again. Tested a little stove heater while their so was comfortable in the cabin at night.

Yep - good video - thanks for posting. 7 degrees inside though! I feel humbled, but will stick with my softy webasto and burn some diesel to keep warm! Makes me want to get out on the water...

Some of Hoo Ness club were out last weekend, just down to Queenborough. Bit blowy and especially bumpy with wind against tide coming back.
I turned off the sink seacock twice but forgat for the more critical third time. I also forgat to hook up the leecloth to keep my gear snug in the berth. So the sink overflowed, the saloon floor was awash and some of gear went swimming. Phone has now had it plus kindle; spare clothing and bedding sopping but easily fixed with a washing machine. But now had to buy new gadgets as dowsing and drying procedure didn't work. Bit of an expensive weekend and all my own fault of course

Oh crap not good, had a similar issue with overflowing sink when first purchasing boat. Only have 1 seacock now that feeds the engine. The galleys discharge overboard through a gulper pump now slightly above the waterline so no need of worrying about overflowing sinks.
