Posting to widen the search. Family have no idea what's happened yet.
I only briefly knew him as he was berthed across the pontoon from me a couple of years ago. Pleasant, friendly and talkative guy. I hope everything turns out ok for him and the family.

Yes, as you say, there's been a few over the years. It seems the boat was found un occupied in an undisclosed location and brought back to the marina by them. So one can only imagine he took it there, then something happened to him. Not wanting to speculate other than that at this time. Police not saying much probably because they don't know much. Fingers crossed it turns out to be all ok one way or another.
