A man has died after being washed off a harbour wall in Ramsgate, emergency services have said.
The death comes as parts of Britain were battered with strong winds and heavy rain, with dozens of flood alerts also issued.
Kent Police were called to Royal Harbour at around 11.30am after reports that there were three people in the water.
The three men were pulled out of the water but one died at the scene, a spokeswoman added.
The other two were taken to hospital.
