Excellent, just excellent. Right on the harbourside, five minutes walk from the boat. Excellent house wines, excellent food, just excellent.

Aperitif's, three courses, two bottles of house wine for two - £95. So not cheap, but excellent.

We ate there last year and found the food and service very good. They were happy to change the table from a 4 to 6 with only a few hours notice. Mind you this was in May. Good to know it is worth another visit.

Floods, on the other side of the harbour offers similar kind of food but in a less formal setting for a lower price if you are hard up after putting all of that diesel in your tank!

Also seconded - a meal there three years ago was the highpoint of a south coast cruise in the Nancy Blackett. SWMBO and I both thought it was superb. The menu can be seen on their website:

Everything we had was good, but my wife finished with the
ROQUEFORT DRESSED WITH A LITTLE BALSAMIC VINEGAR, HOMEMADE FIG PRESERVE AND BLACK BREAD which was truly delicious.

Its not a cheap restaurant, but for those who occassionally (or even regularly) spend this much on a meal out, Mallam's is really very good indeed, and is in a great location.

For Perrys read Mallams, I've eaten in both and they are very similar, high class, top dollar establishments. I can't remember a bad meal from either or much change from £120 for a meal for two!

Been back again this year and standards remain high - well recommended. An oasis away from fish n chips with the seagulls on the harbour wall.
