Maldon wrecks on the telly Dec 3

It was not aimed at any members likely to post on this forum but chance to educate inform and possibly entertain members of the the general public and anything on TV that does not involve cooking/dancing or eating maggots in a jungle is just fine.
Personally was very interested in the fish traps being investigated by the young ladies.
Bit disappointed they majored on dull old Essex , much more interesting stuff south of the Thames of course. :)

Don't feel bad Unc. I dropped a cheap B&Q saw over the side of the boat, as one does. No bother I thought,, so out with my expensive magnet thing, lobbed it over the side and only then realised I had not tied the string on :-)

Muppet or what?

Why not drop a metal object on a line and pick up the expensive magnet thing?

If that does not work, why not drag with a grapnel and try and pick up the string?

They did pop into the merdeway, but could only find an old rusty tin can on a sandbank :D
