Making your bed, and laying on it ..... comfortably

Start at the top and tuck deeply, then the bottom. Lastly the sides. But I get oversize sheets and dont scrunch them under the mattress. Rather lift the mattress and tuck in deeply and flat. Then they stay that way until you need to change them. If you've never spent time in the military then watch how a hotel room maid makes the bed. next time you are in a hotel. You'll know how tight those sheets are.

We did use a flat bottom sheet but have since changed to fa standard double fitted sheet which fits okay.
Don't quite get the need for bespoke bedding but maybe we are just lucky enough to have a bed that ordinary bedding will fit

There are strap thingy's you can get but we have not tried them..................

As our v-berth cushions are split down the middle, we use two single bed sheets one to each cushion. The excess is folded over and tucked under the cushions. We've tried using double bed sheets (not wide enough at the head end) and King size plus sheets (too much excess sheet at the foot end) and settled on using the two single sheets

When we get the chance (e.g. inveigle one of the family members who can sew on board!) we'll remake sufficient sheets to fit better. We've considered custom bedding but it's not cheap and we've hit on this workable alternative which is!

I use these,

They are about a dollar each from China. My mattresses are also funnily shaped and the bed is not walk around. I bring the mattress into the salon and put an ordinary sheet on. These stretchy clips keep the sheet in perfect place just like it was an expensive fitted sheet. And I really thrash around in my sleep. In fact I’m dangerous to be next to☹️?

Interested to know how others fit a flat sheet to the front berth without being a trampoline expert.

Bespoke shaped fitted sheets on Christmas list as fed up waking up wrapped up like a mummy
We had a new mattress made for our Azi. Also had some fitted sheets made at the same time. Made life a lot easier.

We have a bespoke memory foam mattress made up. Used brown paper for the template. Got the foam cut at a specialist, then a cover made up. Plus’s a couple of fitted bottom sheets. Less than £500 iirc.
