Majorca Meet?

It has been suggested that what a good idea it would be for any forumites in Majorca to meet up one day for a get together and I'm putting my head above the parapet to offer to arrange something.
I'm thinking something low key like meeting in a convenient marina for dinner but if anybody has any better ideas or is busting to take over the arrangements, please let me know. Anybody interested, please PM me with ideas
 
I'm thinking some period when we're all likely to be on our boats like Easter or Whitsun bank hols but I agree that it might be difficult otherwise
 
Are you saying you may need some notice of a meet, might this to be to arrange a day release pass?, not sure Spanish jails have this facility. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
I plan to be in Palma last week of June and all of July. Well, the boat will be there for that period, and I'll fly back and forth. That's the plan anyway... but don't wait for me!
 
We can certainly do the Easter weekend. We have already booked all our visits until October. I'll pm our dates Mike.

PaulineB and John, plus myself will be cruising down there from may, will be permanently around, so could come to any place, let us know.
 
We know a nice place "oop north" if fancied but we dont mind travelling down Palma way either. Probably by car as we are only there for long weekend Friday-Monday
 
I know Deleted User wanted PM's with suggestions, but how about we make some here?

This is for an Easter meet. I'm sure there will be more opportunities to meet up as the year progresses.

Option 1 - meet up somewhere for a meal. I know a few nice places in Palma old town but don't mind going with the flow elsewhere.

Option 2 - Organise some kind of mini-cruise, even if just for a day. Then meal of an evening.

Of course location might be an issue with us all being a tad spread out. Let's see if I've got this right.

Hmmm, bit of a north/south divide here. Oh well just an idea.
 
As you say Mark their will be other opportunities so it doesn't matter, first one South next one North.

The mini cruise idea sounds good too but really not feasible for us at Easter, but may be possible if we all out for extended time in summer

MartynK has our dates but I will Pm them to you and Mike.

Thats what I was thinking. A couple of Majorca forumites have got new toys to play with so I'm sure they'll want to get some sea time in

I have a car for the duration, so I dont mind either way - Medreamer and us could travel together - Palma old town would be OK, as it is probably quicker to get to than Cala Dor by car (I think about 35 mins by car with new autoroute). I like the old town, and parking is quite easy down by the cathedral area.

That way its not too much hassle with the boats.

Why dont we do a another day out around cala dor for a barbie etc during the day, later in June.July ish.

Would love to do it by boat but we return home Monday lunchtime so that option will have to be later in the season. No problem with travelling by car so Easter Sunday in Palma would be great
