A smile crossed the face of my beloved on Sunday and her remark " I have realised the major advantage of boating". Could it be that she had finally realised just one of the many advantages which I had been so long aware?

"What is it?" I asked in all innocence.

"You don't ask me what things cost anymore."

you should send her to buy the expensive things, and especially to pay for the juice while you are being a bit techy with the filler caps. SWMBO will then spend the rest of the day feeling the adrenalin rush of having lashed out several hudred quid.

Women don't like spending money per se, we like spending in on gorgeous things. So to shell out hundreds on fuel is depressing cos you keep thinking about what you could have bought with all that money

Yep, you've missed the point completely Mark. Much as I love playing with the chartplotter and other gizmos on the boat (cos Mr B doesn't know how they work), the gorgeous things I love buying are shoes and boots and frocks.

BTW - you aren't Marcus from Eldorado are you ?
