Our old Akura boat tv has given good service for 10 years but has always had a poor viewing angle, probably only 120 degrees and sound quality is poor, the current draw is about 4-5A also which pulls the batteries down a bit when at anchor for days in poor weather.I was thinking about an Avtex, probably S/H as these are a bit pricey new but put off by reports of poor sound quality.
The Majestic range have an impressive and convincing speil about accomodating the 12v pitfalls, low current consumption, accomodate a wide range of voltages, auto retuning when youu change locations, 5w speakers which should enable decent sound without getting into the distortion range.
So any experiences with these tvs, good or bad?
