Does this type of plug and socket have a generic / manufacturers name,
as Maplin don't do them and I can't find them at RS online.

I can't remember the ISO number, but they are 16A IP44 (or similar) mains plugs. RS, FArnell et. al. do do them.

Even the bigger B&Qs sell them as do almost all caravan shops

My prefered supplier is CPC the retail side of Farnell. Very good for lots of electrical goodies for home boat caravan etc. Also good for budget tools, you know the sort you can afford to drop over the side.

Electrical wholesalers stock them as well...

They're a conventional (and the only one common throughout Europe) 16amp plug.

Red and a larger diameter they're a 32-amp plug.

Any domestic electrical wholesaler will have them - probably too commonplace for Maplins or RS Components.

Red and they are three phase !

Yellow and they are 110 Volt
