There are couple of well established fig trees near Maidstone Town Centre both which bear a decent crop of figs every year.
Anybody care to suggest how fig seeds came to be floating in the river.

You could be on to something, but if you're correct, then for every fig tree there should be a thousand tomato plants and an annual crop of maize on the banks at Isleworth
