Mark, have just caught up on your blog, we were in la Trinite the day after you left! Not by boat, driving home from Spain. So just missed you. It was getting quite windy and was starting to rain, so you left at the right time. We also stayed in basin des chalutiers for a week or so on our French odyssey a few years back, really enjoyed being there, we particularly liked the market, lots to see and plenty of cafes around it. We spent Monday night on a friends boat in Roscoff, it was blowing a real hoolie and pouring with rain, a most unpleasant experience, but the company more than made up for it.
As for beers on arrival, don't you think Emma is just a bit young to partake in that tradition?
Enjoy the rest of the journey, maybe catch up with you when we return to Spain later this year.

If you get a chance, go to the cidre restaurant, (it's all the way around the seafront next to the tall chimney).

If you are going to Douro Marina (which I hope you are) please say hello from Ocean Spirit to the lovely ladies in the office, particularly Eugenia. We have missed you by a fraction being stuck in Sada with an errant generator whilst you were in A Coruna.

Now you are in the Med, what's the plan from now on, if you have one that is! I suspect with your current rate of progress you'll have long passed us in Altea by the time we get back in September.

I think we will leave Banus early tomorrow morning for Cartagena. A very long day of about 215NM, but the forecast is excellent and I don't think there are many interesting ports of call en route. Then probably Alicante and on to the Balearics.
