It appears so Al.

Just to set the record straight it's a Pred 84 not a 92. Latter is an extra £1m for same beam and only 5ft11in extra length.

Volume is huge with 6.34m beam. Engines are new 2635HP V16 MTU's (being launched next year) on Arneson drives. SS say should be good for 46 knots which ain't bad for 60+ tonnes. Mini-fly or sportsbridge as SS call it is great but no wind deflecting screen so will be a bit fresh in UK temps.

Just need a bigger berth now but she's not due till May 2010 so have lots of time to consider options. In the meantime we intend to continue enjoying present MAGNUM to the fullest extent /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congrats Magnum. Blimey, 5300 horsepower :-) Still, you're a long time dead :-)

What hull sequence number have you bought? Presume you choose the colours and stuff later?

Blimey your worse than some footie player we know /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif mind you he only kept his six weeks before the upgrade so guess 2010 is fair play.

Congrats, cor, think of all them restless nights wondering how to spec it, I'd be ragged round the edges with anticipation till launch day !

Top boat , lovely.

Should be about hull 8 I think. All options are open but I'm gonna create something special this time with more than a dash of Italian flair, especially around the helm and instrumentation systems. I'm actually really looking forward to taking a full year to specify her. Favourite for the hull is still black and grey gel. Doesn't look too shabby eh?

Fantastic Magnum, you and Mrs Mag, must be over the moon.
More sea trials and spec-ing the options.

I didn't think your pics could get any better, but maybe they can! I can't wait! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Congrats.

Cheers

Al.

Looking at the area around the flybridge helm, the expression "feck me" crossed my mind - I haven't got enough friends to fill that amount of space.

Wow, congrats. What prompted the upgrade?

Good question. Miss the fly - not for lounging but wind in the hair under way. Forward seating area will give great privacy in Marina and useful for sun-dodging. Also I had a race with a Pershing 90 last week and lost, by a few knots. Now I can win /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Seperates crew from guests. Bigger tender (she'll take a 435 Avon Jetrib). Loads more storage space. Will satisfy a deep longing for a boat with Arneson drives.

Also, I'm not shipping her so will do the UK/Med trip on her own bottom.

Completely understand. Saw the rooster tail kicked up by some giant Pershing at the Split boat show a couple of years ago, quite the awe-inspiring sight.

Aha: an opportunity to take on Hurricane's record-breaking journey to Gib!

Congrats once again; looks really properly the business.

Cheers

can't help meself, it is showtime after all /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now that does look a bit better than the average boat helm, which usually looks like it's been bolted together with parts from Maplins in flat surfaces. Still not perfect, but better.

I can't understand why car manufacturers put together some really ergonomic designs, while boats that cost millions have flat 'dashboards'. OK, economies of scale, but they could put a bit more effort in.

[/ QUOTE ]LOL, "told ya so!" spring to mind... (see my previous post).
I can see a dejà vu race with a P115 at the horizon....
You'd better book a slot on a WallyPower 118 next, just in case! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I can't understand why...

[/ QUOTE ]It's actually simple: these boats are built with elegance rather than functionality in mind.
Even the Abs glass dashboard, which does make sense from a functional viewpoint, would have never been there if it weren't sleek and elegant, in the first place.
And that's actually understandable: on average, prospect customers would accept a not very functional dashboard as long as it's elegant, rather than the other way round.
You must look at totally different boats if you're looking for the perfect helm.
