Magellan NAV 6000

Does anyone have experience of linking a Magellan NAV 6000 to a computer, or for that matter any Magellan GPS. I keep trying but am not having any success. I am thinking of purchasing Maptech software - any experiences of it welcome.

Sorry not Maptech but I've just bought Euronav SeaPro and their technical support has been excellent. I've still to sort the USB/serial link problems but there must be an answer.

Reviewing the pros and cons of dedicated chart plotters vs computers with charting software would make a good magazine feature, YM take note. My experience so far with the computer route has been a hard slog but I'm convinced of the eventual benifits.

Somehow comforting to know someone else is in the same boat.
