Magellan connection

Ok got new Magellan sportrac complete with map CD and cable. Problem is that cable has serial port connector and laptop only has USB ports. Where can I get an adaptor??

Do a quick search on gps and serial and you should find a mound of material. It was coveed extensively with some good advice about sources and problems associated with different operating systems.

Any reputable computer shop will have suitable.

BUT beware of cheap cable only purchase ..... try and get a conversion cable that includes a driver disc etc. Many people buy such as Belin etc. and then find that it fails. Here it really does pay to spend a little more.
