Made new Genoa car sheaves, should I insert SS bearing races?

Old sheaves worn and ran on 10mm stainless pin. I have machined up new nylon sheaves, at this stage easy to incorporate paired 316 ss bearing races within the new sheaves, but is it worth it? Gibb track, 9.6m Southerly, relatively high clewed Genoa on roller furler. Lewmar 2 speed self tailer winches, cannot remember size but not huge.

I'd be inclined to try it, but then I find my winches a little underpowered - or is it because my genny car sheaves (and turning blocks) are worn out, too!
