HI ALL......as some of you may know, my s24, Thanks Mum has just had a 4day "shakedown cruise" on the solent in near perfect weather!!!!!... took LOTS of video, including, the near "disaster" (all will be revealed later!!!), between lymington and southampton...... so on arrving home, after a 2hr tow to bedfordshire, its top gear, a beer and look at video on the camera screen......BAD BAD BAD TERMINAL MISTAKE !!!!! this combination + knackered +beer+ laughing at TG + talking to wife = DELETING nearly the INTIRE video !!!!!!!..... the phrase that rhymes with "KLUCKING BELL" does,nt come close!!!!!!!!!!

Was the video on a memory card or old fashioned tape?

There are programs around to recover data on a card.

And to recover on a harddisk, should this be the case. To recover completely both need original data to be available -ie. no new data should be stored on the media since the deletion.

Steve.... I'd look at it that it's better to have lost your filming and had yesterday afternoons event pan out the way it did, rather than the other way around!!

Oh dear.... still you have the memories. But if it helps I'm going to post up the photos we took yesterday on our shakedown run, just Chi to Cowes and back but great to be back on the water. It was weird to be out in such beautiful weather and see so few boats on the water - all still seem to be sleeping in the boatyards. Chi harbour basically empty, and just a few boats around Cowes and central Solent. Not that I'm complaining.....
