Hi,
I have a riviera m430 with twin kad300s, I have an ongoing fault where the starboard motor randomly stalls, always starts straight back up, but I’m concerned one day it won’t restart, I have swapped the stop solenoid around, stop relays around, found some corrosion on the ignition switch wiring which we cleaned up, I have tried jiggling the keys to see if the switch is faulty but it seems to be ok, when it stalls the alarm sounds, the diagnostics light flashes and the batter and oil pressure red lights are illuminated , has anyone come across this and maybe shed some light as I’m losing confidence!!!
Thanks
RAFF

Has it got a Sea-Fire or similar automatic engine shut down system in the event of a fire?

Love the typo in the title. Probably a better name for it :D

Luckily, these are very simple engines and so it will be a simple fault. I would put money on it being electrical, but it could be a slight air leak on the fuel system. I would assume that a fault with the fire extinguisher shut down would affect both engines, but it could be set up in such a way to only stop one. I would try swapping the ignition switches over next. Good luck

Wiring loom .
Heat degrades the insulation with time on the “ MAD “ 300 .
Plus ver d Gris - corrosion, salty environment, not so good hardened off rubber insulation on plugs ,

Additional symptoms could be errant guage readings as the signals from various senders get distorted.
These distorted signals throw the ECU and hence a dash lit up like a Christmas tree.

It may help to check and pull carefully every plug , clean and spray diectric stuff on the contacts .
Look for tell tel signs of unusual drips onto stuff as well .

Loom / harness issues will indeed drive you mad chasing so perhaps the title is appropriate :):):)

This is what I was leaning towards, think it’s going to be a matter of either jiggling wiring while it’s running or unplugging everything 1by 1 and checking,
Ps the title is a typo but I can’t see where to edit,
