MacGregor 26x

Sam, did you take it for a sea trial?. If you did how was it?.

If anyone else has taken a 26X for a sea trial I would like to know how it went as I am looking at them with interest. It seems to offer a newcomer to sailing a good entry platform, especially as I come from many years of power boating.

However I am looking for a boat that I can cross the channel in and if anyone can tell me that a 26X can do this safe and easily I would like to know.

Thanks for keeping in touch about this boat. Quite honestly we have gone off the boil. We have taken notice of what many more experienced sailors have said and as a result we have questioned what is it we really want and why. Do we seriously need a boat on a trailer...no is the answer. Clearly there are many other suitable boats we should now look at before making a decision. As novices we should certainly look at something second hand and then establish our preferences and needs.

As and when we decide we will let you know!!
