Mac vs. PC

i just fond another mp3 player a denva with large screen very like i pod mini HHD $140 thats 25% the ipod price.
when i got my first pc i took it home went on line and used it,i started with altavista, there i found zdnet for downloads.-- It just worked and i learnt to use it--even got KP typing tutor (pc only)
I bought my ibook later-I couldent install dial up nor adsl nor cable nor change once id paid £40 for the dialup set up.
Nor for 2 years has one single apple user been able to help me,the apple users were users whos organisation gave them their apple gave them some training and gave them another apple each time the current one failed to deliver,They hadent any idea how to configer the thing! and they all had privet pc aboard for their personal use!!!!!

Brendan, I guess it's just one of those things that's down to personal experience and preference.

My pc is a few years old and since upgrading to XP have upgraded the hard drive, upgraded the graphics card, added usb and firewire ports and have allsorts of software added and never had any problems.

It runs faster than than the mac, and doesn't grind to a halt like the mac with it's forever spinning disk.

To each his own I guess,

Bill

If you are only talking to mac users who use their machines at work, then no wonder they cannot configure them. The same is true of most people who use pc's at work.
What is that supposed to prove?

I've not got an axe to grind, I use both. And can say that apples are every bit as easy to configure as pc's, and I have no idea whiy you found it so hard to set up dial up etc on a Mac

Well i cant and ive spent months triying to. Ive been online and still cant get any help! FOR A MAC !! so If its reasonably possiable, length and discription wise, how do you configer a Mac for dial up????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

If its possiable and works i will afterwards visit hear on my mac, rather than my super understandable PC. and of course if im using a mac (even if i have no idea how its working or how to open downloads--they simply disapear into the system--but then thats not a problem as there isent much soft ware to download) i wont mention them again!

Now wheres that gif??

Go to the MacOSXhints forum

the link to the networking forum is here
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://forums.macosxhints.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14>http://forums.macosxhints.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14</A>

I gave you the link for the gif in the post where I described how to display it. Cut and paste the entire line, then remove the two spaces.

If you don't get any joy there, then any of these links are quite good support forums, where questions get answers. All the links are direct to the internet/networking/modem sections

I think the simple explanation is that you don't have the patience to actuallly get to the bottom of the problem.

A prolblem with all forums.

Calm down.Answer their questiions. You might actually get somewhere <s>
