M10 bolt thread

Pulled a 20 yr old bolt out of a Volvo Penta pump.
Does not fit into the back of the new generic pump to fit the mounting bracket on.

What’s the most likely thread that some ? Chinees has cut into the back of the pump ?

M10 comes in coarse (1.5mm pitch) and two fine (1.25mm and 1mm pitch) threads. If the diameter looks right, one of the other pitches seems likely. Or maybe they make it for the savages of the US and it's 3/8" UNF or UNC, which are just a bit smaller than 10mm.

tnx will source 2 1.25 and 1.00 threaded bolts.
needs to fit into the back of a new trim pump.

If it is a Johnson pump then 3/8" UNF or UNC seems quite likely.
