M.D.L free stay

i have tried 3 times to use the 3 hours free stay at mdl on the hamble < you get this if you are based at a mdl marina .
the last time was sunday a.m after watching all the racing boats go out we vhf & are told that they have no space.i am trying to find out if this common is anyone else having similar problems. thanks alan

MDL don't seem to have such a thing as visitor's berths. If owners out for a day sail don't tell the marina how long they'll be out for, the marina cansub-let the berth. When I had an MDL berth I came back one day to find another boat in my berth because of a communications cock-up and the marina staff did a full-scale grovel. So blame the owners, not the staff!
