LW gentley aground Kinsale

Spotted RSYC yacht "Stickleback" aground on at LW in Kinsale a short while ago. Assume she will float off ok later with no damage. No idea how it happened.

I imagine the bottom jumped up at them.

Happens to us all from time to time, unless we're not trying hard enough.

I think it was Stickleback that led a number of Sigma 33s onto the Bramble Bank under spinnaker a good few years ago. John Godfrey, the owner, was usually so clever with his knowledge of Solent tides that we all assumed he knew where he was going.
Fingers crossed that they got off without damage.
